Top quality bespoke joinery for people to enjoy around around Duke of York Square in London.
The Garden Trellis Co. recently completed a series of bespoke joinery projects for Cadogan Estates, one of the biggest property investment and management groups in London. The Garden Trellis Co. Project Manager for this project was James Gee. James worked on the designs with the client, before overseeing production in our workshop and the installation of various custom-designed benches and planters, as well as joinery to create an exterior courtyard for the estate offices.
The project was carried out over several years and involved various installations around Duke of York Square. Our photographer visited the area in Autumn 2022 and the natural Iroko timber has now weathered into its beautiful silvery colour which will last for many years to come.
Cadogan Estate Office Courtyard
This area needed redeveloping to allow employees to have a great place to relax outside as well as improve the overall look and feel of the office. The clean lines of the contemporary slatted benches complement the large custom planters. The benches provide a place to meet, relax and eat lunch alfresco with the planting adding relatively low maintenance wellness benefits.
Bespoke Street Furniture in Duke of York Square
The primary purpose of this project was to increase footfall around Duke of York Square for retailers, bars, and restaurants. The stunning, high-quality planters with benches provide a range of places for visitors to rest next to greenery and planting which is incorporated into the joinery in various ways.
Duke of York Square is the focal point on the Kings Road in Chelsea, and The Garden Trellis Co. joinery work really takes centre stage. The challenges for the joinery work included working in public spaces, building the street furniture around established trees. The Garden Trellis Co. team also had to ensure that the joinery work was of the highest quality to meet the standards of the client. The project's outcome was exceptional, and the joinery work stands out as a prominent feature of the Square.
