Case Study: Custom Solid Panels for Apartment Balconies
The Garden Trellis Co have just finished a year-long project working with Stratton & Hesler on a very large-scale new build of five apartment blocks in Oxford Gardens, London.
Stratton & Hesler are a joinery fit out company that were doing the internals. They brought us in as sub-contractors to use our expertise in exterior joinery.
We spoke to GTC project manager James Gee to find out more about this project:
We were asked by S&H to supply and install custom built solid panels fitted to around 40 separate terraces on five apartment blocks. This scheme was a brand new design for us which we developed from the architect concepts.
What joinery products/features are included in the work?
The panels were designed and handcrafted in the workshop in Essex built up of 25mm Duraply with external grade Iroko Veneer and double-sided vertical batons. All solid material was Iroko and we also had custom galvanized brackets manufactured.
We were really pleased with the final result; the panels look ace and the end result is very impressive.
